Frequently Asked Questions
Do parents stay during sessions?
For young children, yes, parents are welcome to stay and take part.
What kinds of activities do children do?
Activities come from six Programme areas: literacy, numeracy, movement, critical thinking, creativity, and communication.
Is the play structured?
Yes. Sessions look playful but are carefully planned to build specific skills.
Do I need to bring or buy a book?
No, unless a specific event says otherwise.
Are sessions offered in English or French?
Sessions may be offered in English, French, or bilingual formats depending on the event and availability.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions are hosted through our partner space, Nâs Social Club, with additional sessions offered in schools, libraries, daycares, and other suitable spaces in and around Montreal.
Can schools, libraries, daycares, or community spaces book a session?
Yes. Sessions can be adapted for schools, libraries, daycares, parent groups, and community organizations.
What ages are Programmes designed for?
Programmes serve children ages 2 to 7. Activities are adapted to each child's developmental level.
How are children placed into a Programme?
Placement is based on developmental readiness, not age alone. Children of different ages may be grouped together.
Will children of different ages do the same activities?
Not exactly. Each Programme has a shared focus, but activities are pitched to each child's level within it.
Can I book just one Programme session?
No. Programmes run as six-week blocks, twice weekly, with each session building on the last.
Can I attend just one Saturday Gathering?
Yes. Gatherings are single-day events with no enrollment or ongoing commitment.
How long is each session?
Most children's sessions are 45 minutes. Parent, educator, or community workshops may run longer.
What happens during a session?
Sessions include guided activities, hands-on play, and age-appropriate challenges drawn from the child's Programme area.
