Ages 2-7

Age ranges below reflect the typical developmental stage for each Programme. Placement is determined through a short readiness conversation, taking into account each child’s development and readiness to progress.

What children will explore

Foundational

Ages 2-3

  • Counting with real objects, one at a time

  • Noticing more, less, and same

  • Simple sorting by color, size, or shape

  • Basic shape recognition

  • Exploring big and small, full and empty

Developing

Ages 4-5

  • Confident, accurate counting

  • Comparing quantities and recognizing numbers

  • Early addition with objects

  • Sorting and patterning with more than one attribute

  • Simple measurement and beginning spatial concepts (longer/shorter, above/below)

Extending

Ages 6-7

  • Addition and subtraction with numbers to ten*

  • Extending and creating complex patterns

  • Measurement using informal units

  • Early mathematical reasoning and problem-solving
